The height of each individual step, the maximum rise UK Domestic staircase allowed by regulations is 220mm.

For comfort we recommend an individual rise of between 195mm & 205mm

Would you like caps to add to the top (Or top and bottom of newels on your upper floor) of your newel posts? Ball caps are usually used on staircases with turned balustrade, flat caps are normally on staircases with square or stop chamfered balustrade.
