Staircase builder
Q: I’m not sure how to use your staircase builder. Can you help?
A: Have a look at our overview video to learn the basics. Once you get started we hope you’ll find the process simple, but feel free to call us or chat with us if you need a hand.
Q: Can I email drawings to you to place an order?

Q: I’ve realised I made a mistake in my order. What can I do?
A: Contact us as soon as possible. If we haven’t started manufacturing your order already, it’s no problem to make a change.
Q: Why can’t I enter the measurements I wanted?
A: All Express Stairs Yorkshire staircases processed through our Staircase Builder must comply with building regulations. Our staircase builder does not let you enter dimensions that would be outside of those regulations. However, we know that sometimes a staircase needs to be outside of these regulations in order to work in your home. In that case, feel free to email, chat or call us and we will be more than happy to discuss your needs and design something to suit you.

Q: What types of staircase do you offer?
A: We offer: Closed tread staircases with a variety of options of materials for different elements of the flight, so you can be sure to find something that suits you. Feel free to get in touch if you have something specific in mind that you cannot see on our site.
Q: What materials can I choose from?
A: Our offering differs depending upon which part of the staircase you are looking at, but we offer elements in MDF, furniture grade redwood pine, or even hardwoods.
Q: What machinery do you use to manufacture your staircases?
A: We have state-of-the-art CNC machines, as well as some good old-fashioned joinery skills.
Q: Who builds your staircases?
A: We have an on-site production facility with a team of experienced craftspeople. Our highly skilled workforce is made up of qualified joiners, machinists, semi-skilled operatives, CNC operatives and apprentices who are completing their training through CITB.
Delivery
Q: Do you offer a delivery service?
A: Yes. We have a range of options to suit your needs and can deliver, anywhere in mainland UK. We operate our own transport fleet as well as using private courier services to ensure a quality service. View our delivery page for more information.
Q: How will my staircase arrive?
A: Your staircase will arrive part assembled or in kit Form - everything will be ready for you to put together on site.
Q: Can I collect my staircase?
A: Yes, you can collect 7-10 working days* from your order from our manufacturing facility in West Yorkshire. Just contact us to arrange a convenient time.

Q: Are you a member of any trade organisations?
A: Yes, we are a member of the British Woodworking Federation and the Guild of Master Craftsmen.
